Oliver and the Lantern Path
A walk home through soft light. About finding your way at dusk.
24 pages · ages 2-5 · paperback
Eight books in the series
A small owl with a lantern, who notices things.
Oliver is a small owl who carries a little lantern and notices the things others walk straight past: the soft light at dusk, the hush of snow on a window, a map folded in a drawer. His story begins in Oliver and the Lantern Path, the night he sets down his book, follows a few little lights into the meadow, and meets the kindest friend he has ever met: a small fox named Mira. Oliver is the little one who steps gently into the wonder; Mira is the friend who knows the way.
The Oliver books are quiet on purpose. There are no chase scenes, no villains, no loud jokes. They give a child language for calm, for bedtime, for noticing the small wonders of an ordinary day, and for finding their own way home.

Oliver's lantern sometimes glows in the distance of other Lantern Path stories - a warm light other characters notice but do not always reach. It is a gentle thread between the books, never a puzzle a child has to solve.
