About the book

Oliver loved his quiet library best of all, until the evening a small light blinked outside his window, like a tiny star saying hello. So a careful little owl set down his book and stepped, very gently, out into the meadow.

What he found there was a sky full of fireflies, a path lit by quiet magic, and the kindest friend he had ever met: a small fox named Mira, who knew the meadow better than anyone. Mira is the kind friend who knows the way; Oliver is the little one who follows it.

Together they walk through the tall grass, find a tree of lanterns, climb a little hill, and look out at a whole valley full of stars, then walk home, promising to meet again tomorrow. A gentle bedtime adventure about curiosity, small brave steps, and the warmth of finding a friend when you step somewhere new. For ages 2–6; best read aloud at bedtime. The series begins here.

A note from the author

This was the first Oliver book. I wanted to make something that felt like the last ten minutes of a walk home: that hush, that warmth.
